Turbine, Lisbon — PHP Software Engineer Link to heading

February 2022 – January 2024

  • Constant optimization of the HKL Shop (https://www.hkl-baumaschinen.de/ and https://www.hkl-baushop.de/ ), which runs above an eCommerce platform built on ORO Commerce (https://oroinc.com/ ). The stack for this project was PHP (Symfony Framework), RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, and Postgres. I also helped the team implement a minimum observability platform with Grafana and Prometheus.
  • I was part of the Turbine Research and Innovation team. We built an e-commerce MVP with Laravel and Lunar to find fast and reliable alternatives to deploying new e-commerce platforms. The team also developed a picker app with React Native and Laravel to offer to our clients.
  • Also, the Turbine Research and Development team implemented ETL/ELT pipelines with Snowflake, GoodData, and dbt, enhancing data analytics capabilities.

  • Engineered scalable consumers for Worten’s Order Tracker System using Golang and Kafka, improving real-time order tracking across systems.
